Registered Solano county, Calif. Born, Grandin, N. Dak., May 1, 1895, of Norwegian-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Fairfield, Calif., on Sept. 18, 1917. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in Company I, 363rd Infantry, to Feb. 26, 1918; Company I, 47th Infantry, to death. Grade: Corporal, April 24, 1918. Overseas from May 10, 1918, to death. Engagement: Offensive: Aisne-Marne.
