Registered Nelson county. Born, Lakota, N. Dak., Oct. 25, 1895, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Lakota on June 30, 1918. Sent to University of North Dakota. Served in North Dakota School of Mines Training Detachment, to Aug. 28, 1918; Company B, 116th Field Signal Battalion, to Nov. 5, 1918; Headquarters, 2nd Field Signal Battalion, to Jan. 29, 1919; Company C, 314th Field Signal Battalion, to death. Overseas from Sept. 23, 1918, to death. Engagement: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne.
