Registered McLean county. Born, Council Bluffs, Iowa, March 2, 1893, of English-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Enlisted at Bismarck on July 3, 1917. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in Provisional Company A, Medical Officers Training Camp, Fort Riley, Kans., to Nov. 20, 1917; Medical Department, Base Hospital, Camp Sevier, S. C., to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, May 6, 1918.
