Biography:

Registered Rolette county. Born, St. John, D. T., July 19, 1888, of Irish-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Enlisted in the Navy at Minneapolis, Minn., on Feb. 9, 1918. Served at Naval Aeronautic Station, Pensacola, Fla., to Nov. 11, 1918. Grades: Landsman Quartermaster, Aviation, 81 days; Quartermaster 2nd Class, Aviation, 92 days; Quartermaster 1st Class, Aviation, 102 days. Released from active duty at Pensacola, Fla., on Feb. 1, 1919, as a Quartermaster 1st Class, Aviation.
