Served at Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill., to Oct. 18, 1917; Receiving Ship, Philadelphia, Pa., to Nov. 2, 1917; Armed Draft Detail, N. Y., to Jan. 24, 1918; SS Pioneer, to Aug. 17, 1918; Naval Hospital, New York, N. Y., to death. Grades: Apprentice Seaman, 38 days; Seaman 2nd Class, 214 days, Seaman, 285 days.
