Registered Mountrail county. Born, Chippewa Falls, Wis., Dec. 27, 1887, of Canadian parents. Occupation - tailor. Inducted at Stanley on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 22, 1918; Company B, 139th Infantry, to death. Grade: Mechanic, June 15, 1918. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine).
