Biography:

Registered Cass county. Born, Chaffee, N. Dak., Nov. 14, 1890, of German-Hungarian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Fargo on July 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 19th Company, 5th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 5, 1918; Company H, 78th Infantry, to death.
