Not a registrant, under age. Born, Valley City, N. Dak., Feb. 19, 1904, of American-Norwegian parents. Occupation - student. Enlisted in the Navy at Fargo on July 30, 1918. Served at Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill., to Oct. 30, 1918; Naval Training Station, Hampton Roads, Va., to Nov. 11, 1918. Grades: Apprentice Seagman, 86 days; Fireman 3rd Class, 18 days.
