Biography:

Registered Grand Forks county. Born, Northwood, D. T., Nov. 24, 1888, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - laborer. Inducted at Grand Forks on Sept. 22, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company K, 352nd Infantry, to Nov. 28, 1917; Company M, 348th Infantry, to April 12, 1918; Company G, 47th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 10, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Vesle (Champagne); Toulon (Lorraine).
