Biography:

Registered Richland county. Born, Hankinson, N. Dak., Sept 23, 1895, of German parents. Occupation - laborer. Inducted at Wahpeton on June 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to July 19, 1918; Company D, 313th Engineers, to death. Overseas from Aug. 16, 1918, to death.
