Registered Towner county. Born, Des Plaines, Ill., Jan. 16, 1895, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Cando on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 12th Company, 3rd Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 31, 1918; Company A, 77th Infantry, to death.
