Registered McHenry county. Born, Lake Mills, Iowa, April 11, 1896, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Towner on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 48th Company, 12th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Sept. 3, 1918; Company L, 40th Infantry, to death.
