Registered Ransom county. Born, Sheldon, N. Dak., Aug. 21, 1893, of Bohemian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Lisbon on July 24, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 24th Company, 6th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 20, 1918; Battery C, 41st Field Artillery, to death.
