Registered McKenzie county. Born, Montague, Mich., April 5, 1890, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Hart, Mich., on April 26, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 160th Depot Brigade, to May 23, 1918; Supply Company, 337th Infantry, to Sept. 3, 1918; Company C, 339th Infantry, to death. Grades: Wagoner, June 25, 1918; Private, Sept. 1, 1918. Overseas from July 22, 1918, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Russia.
