Registered Ward county. Born, Tunnel City, Wis., March 25, 1892, of American parents. Occupation - barber. Enlisted in Company D, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard, at Minot, on July 20, 1917. Served in Company D, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Company D, 164th Infantry), to death. Grade: Corporal, Dec. 1, 1917. Overseas from Dec. 15, 1917, to death.
