Served in Battery A, Field Artillery, Minnesota National Guard (Battery A, 151st Field Artillery), to death. Overseas from Oct. 18, 1917, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive: Champagne-Marne. Defensive Sectors: Luneville, Baccarat and Essey-Pannes (Lorraine); Esperance-Souain and Vesle (Champagne).
