Registered Cavalier county. Born, Bluffton, Minn., March 14, 1892, of Norwegian-Swedish parents. Occupation - grainbuyer. Enlisted in Battery A, Field Artillery, Minnesota National Guard, at St. Paul, on July 18, 1917. Served in Battery A, Field Artillery, Minnesota National Guard (Battery A, 151st Field Artillery), to death. Overseas from Oct. 18, 1917, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive: Champagne-Marne. Defensive Sectors: Luneville, Baccarat and Essey-Pannes (Lorraine); Esperance-Souain and Vesle (Champagne).
