Registered Traill county. Born, Mayville, N. Dak., May 18, 1893, of American-Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Hillsboro on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company A, 137th Infantry, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine); Gerardmer (Alsace).
