HR Academy - Fair Labor Standards Act
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
More than 130 million workers in more than 7 million workplaces are protected or "covered" by Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The FLSA is enforced by the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor (US DOL). Signed into law in 1938, with one primary objective - workers' rights (working conditions, minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping and protecting the educational opportunities of youth).
In this training session we break down the law into five major provisions:
- Employment Relationships, Wages
- Work Hours, Overtime, and Other Pay
- Supervisor/Employee Responsibilities and Recordkeeping
The training session is designed for supervisors, managers, and HR personnel.
