The Prosci ADKAR® Model is one of the most widely requested and sought-after models for change management. Backed by 20 years of Prosci research, the model is based on the common—yet often overlooked—reality that organizational change only happens when individuals change.
The ADKAR Model drives powerful results by supporting individual changes to achieve organizational success. The model offers a structured approach to ensure that each individual experiencing change moves through the five phases necessary to make overall change successful.
ADKAR stands for Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement.
Looking to expand your change management knowledge and to start putting the principles into action? Here are several resources available through PeopleSoft:
- Introduction to Change Management (course code 110PROSCI1003) –In this module, you will explore how to manage the people side of change and the impact it can have for project and initiatives.
- Introduction to ADKAR (course code 110PROSCI1000) – ADKAR (awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement). This course teaches learners how to use ADKAR to reduce their own anxiety and to help others through change.
- Thriving Through Change (course code 110PROSCI1002) – In this module, you’ll learn how to thrive during change and identify specific actions you can take to be more successful in a changing environment.
- Introduction to Leading Change (course code 110PROSCI1001) – In this module, you will learn how to successfully lead yourself and your employees through change, and gain confidence your role during change.
