ND State Capitol Tours and Events Guidance

Monday, March 16, 2020 - 3:30pm

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) announced today that tours of the North Dakota State Capitol will be suspended for the remainder of March.

“The decision was made to suspend tours of the North Dakota State Capitol out of an abundance of caution, and to help slow the spread of COVID-19,” stated OMB Director Joe Morrissette. “Tours are often booked by large groups and we want to limit meetings and non-essential visits to the Capitol.”

Morrissette added that although the Capitol remains open at this time, the state is encouraging citizens to conduct business online wherever possible.

The Capitol will be observing the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidance for mass gatherings or large community events. Any events that were scheduled at the Capitol that fall outside this guidance will be canceled.
