South Capitol Entrance Design Chosen

The Capitol Grounds Planning Commission (CGPC) today chose the new design for the North Dakota State Capitol Building’s south entrance remodel project.
“We’re pleased that the main Capitol entrance will be getting an updated, more modernized look,” Lt. Gov. and CGPC Chairman Brent Sanford said. “The modernization of the main Capitol entrance will greatly enhance the citizen experience here at the Capitol building.”

The 12th annual showcase of trees is on display on ground floor of the North Dakota State Capitol. Every year, state agencies and other organizations have the opportunity to display a tree. The North Dakota Council of the Arts judges the trees and chooses six winners from the following categories: Most Patriotic, Most Attractive, Best Theme, Best Representation of Agency and Most Creative.

Capitol Grounds Planning Commission to Discuss South Capitol Entrance

The Capitol Grounds Planning Commission will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, in the Sakakawea Room of the North Dakota State Capitol building to discuss several topics including the south Capitol entrance remodeling project.
The south Capitol entrance is the single point of entry for the public visiting the capitol or doing business with agencies located there.
The commission will review several alternative design proposals that will improve the visual appeal and public accessibility of the State Capitol building.
