State Employee Compensation Commission Provides Recommendations to Governor Burgum
Pursuant to North Dakota Century Code 54-06-25, the State Employees Compensation Commission (SECC) provided the following recommendations to Governor Burgum for state employee salaries and benefits for the 2019-21 biennium:
- The SECC recommends that fully funded family health insurance be provided with no changes to the current plan and with no increases in deductibles or copays. (Passed Unanimously)
- The SECC recommends state employee salary increases be funded at 2% for each year of the 2019-21 biennium and be distributed within a range of 1% to 3% based on performance; and that an additional 1% be provided for the first year to provide adjustments for individuals below the market policy point, at a total estimated general fund cost of $26 million. (Passed 8-1 Vote)
These recommendations have also been provided to Legislative Council for them to present to legislative management at the biennial meeting at which the legislative management receives the reports of its interim committees.
