Goehring names marketing & information director
BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed Dana Pritschet as director of the Marketing and Information Division of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA).
“Dana has effectively led the division as interim director,” Goehring said. “She has a proven track record in management, marketing and communications.”
In her new position, Pritschet will oversee NDDA's local, regional and overseas marketing programs, including Pride of Dakota, local foods and farmers markets, as well as public information and publications.
A native of Barton in Pierce County, Pritschet was raised on a farm and ranch. She earned a bachelor's degree from Minot State University, where she majored in business. Following graduation, she worked for the North Dakota State Fair before taking over educational programs at Minot's Roosevelt Park Zoo. She was named the zoo's director in 2005. During her tenure, the zoo grew dramatically in attendance, membership and community support.
