Goehring appoints Wald as marketing specialist

BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed Kelly Wald as the Pride of Dakota marketing specialist in the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA).

“Kelly brings strong skills and experience to Pride of Dakota and the department's other marketing programs,” Goehring said. “She is an excellent communicator and organizer.”

A native of Wishek, Wald graduated from the University of Mary with a degree in business communications. Following graduation, she worked as a communications assistant with Basin Electric Power Cooperative and later as the communications manager for the North Dakota Petroleum Council. She joined NDDA as a research and policy analyst in 2012.

In her new position, Wald will be responsible for Pride of Dakota, NDDA's flagship marketing program. She will report to Dana Pritschet, director of NDDA's marketing and information division.

The Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day and the Holiday Showcases. The program also provides educational opportunities and representation at regional, national and international marketing expositions. More than 500 North Dakota companies are Pride of Dakota members.
