Goehring appoints grape & wine advisory panel

BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed six members of the newly-formed North Dakota Grape and Wine Advisory Committee.

“The 2013 Legislature created the committee to advise the North Dakota Department of Agriculture on the distribution of $80,000 appropriated for industry research and promotion,” Goehring said. “The committee must include two grape producers, two North Dakota winery owners, a representative of the North Dakota Grape and Wine Association and a producer of fruit, other than grapes, used in wine making.”

Appointed to two-year terms were Rodney Hogen, Red Trail Vineyard, Buffalo; Ken Duppong, Haymarsh Vineyard, Glen Ullin; Mark Vining, Agassiz Shores Orchard and Vineyard, Wheatland; Rick Ennen, Apple Creek Winery, Menoken, Allan Fuller, Vintners Cellar, Bismarck, and Paul Anderson, Rutland.
