BISMARCK – The 2012 Pride of Dakota annual meeting will be held Wednesday, March 21, at the Best Western Doublewood Inn, 1400 E. Interchange Ave., Bismarck.
“Getting started in exporting, and using social media to increase sales are just two of the available sessions to help businesses grow,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “There will also be presentations on E-commerce and digital marketing, as well as the opportunity for member companies to network with one another.”
Speakers include Michelle Wall, a certified Dale Carnegie business coach; Glenn Muske, a rural and agribusiness enterprise development specialist for North Dakota State University; Eric Piela, a digital marketing strategist with Flint Communications; Katie Pinke, marketing and information division director in North Dakota Department of Agriculture; Dan Hofland, vice president of sales and marketing for Red River Commodities; Carol Brunnert, international marketing program coordinator for the Missouri Department of Agriculture; Marv Dorner, owner of BeBizzy Consulting, Kari Warberg Block, CEO of Earthkind, and Beverly Flaten, a consultant with JM Grain.
Digital media consultant Scott Wild will be available to help member companies produce interviews for “North Dakota Now,” the North Dakota Department of Agriculture weekly internet radio show, and to produce video interviews for use on the Pride of Dakota website and on social media.
The Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day and the Holiday Showcases. The program also provides educational opportunities and representation at regional, national and international marketing expositions. More than 500 North Dakota companies are Pride of Dakota members. The program is administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture marketing and information division.
