About the ND FirstNet Program

Initiated in 2013, the ND FirstNet program began working with Federal, State and local representatives to understand the scope and breadth of current wireless broadband use, limitations and needs.

After an exhaustive assessment, ITD submitted public safety community-approved recommendations for effective public safety broadband network coverage in North Dakota in the fall of 2015.  North Dakota recommendations were included as part of the January 2016 request for proposal on the FedBizOps website.
