Video Conference Recording

ITD has the ability to record a video conference using a network appliance called Polycom RSS recorder. If you have requested to have the ITD Service Desk schedule the video conference on your behalf, they will add one of the available RSS devices to your conference.

If your agency schedules video conferences on their own through Renovo, you'll notice that there are RSS devices to choose from inside the Renovo video conference scheduler and are typically named after the entity. An RSS device that is not "in use" can be selected from the ROOMS page when scheduling a video conference.

Click on one of the RSS devices that is available.

To view the recorded video conference event, follow the instructions on the Video ConferenceĀ Viewing (Streaming) page. The video file will reside on the Polycomm RSS recording device for 7 business days after the conclusion of the video event.

For a $30 fee, the video file can be converted and sent to the requesting entity via FTP transfer. The requesting entity will then receive an e-mail notification that the file is ready for download. Onve the file has been downloaded, the requesting entity may store the video file electronically for archival purposes on a file server, local PC or burn the video file to a DVD, etc. There is usually a five day turnaround for this service. To have a recorded video conference event sent to you, either submit a Network Services work request through the ITD WMS system or contact the ITD Service Desk within 7 business days.
