Agencies have several options when it is time to design their forms. The agency can design their own forms using programs loaded on their computers; they can contract with a vendor for forms design services; or they can request forms design services from the Information Technology Department.
Whichever option is selected, all state forms must meet the Standards for State of ND Forms. Compliance will be reviewed during the records management program audit for the agency.
The Forms Management Program is responsible for maintaining quality state forms. This includes maintaining the state form numbering system, maintaining design standards for state forms quality, designing forms that meet the needs of our customers, eliminating duplicate and bootleg forms, and reviewing and analyzing all forms used in state government.
