On Tuesday, October 2, 2012, the Center of Digital Government released the results for 2012 Digital State Survey. North Dakota received a "B" after reviewing submissions from all 50 states.
The State Information Technology Advisory Committee (SITAC) has completed the Large Project rankings for the 2013-2015 biennium. The results of the SITAC Large Project Ranking have been posted on ITD’s website.
Governor Dalrymple has issued a Proclamation of Cyber Security Awareness Month in North Dakota. The October event is an opportunity to engage state and local government agencies, as well as the general public, to create a safe, secure, and resilient cyber environment.
During the first week of October, organizations around the world observe Customer Service Week to celebrate the efforts of customer service. Governor Dalrymple has issued a Proclamation of Customer Service Week in the state of North Dakota.

Information Technology Department (ITD) will be phasing out Dispatch on September 16, 2012. This is part of the z/OS upgrade process for the mainframe system and the OnDemand upgrade project.
ITD has published its Large Project Oversight Report for the 2nd quarter of 2012. It was sent, along with a Cover Letter, to the Legislative IT Committee and Legislative Council.
The Awards Committee of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) recently recognized Legislative Assembly's LEGEND project as one of the 30 finalists in the Cross-Boundary Collaboration and Partnership category.
This past weekend, ITD conducted a major upgrade on the statewide network. The outage was originally scheduled from 4:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, but due to the volume and complexity of issues, it extended through Sunday and into the workweek for some customers. Thursday evening, a major reconfiguration was implemented that alleviated most of the outstanding issues.
Starting on August 8, 2012, State Contract #263 will lapse. Procurement is in the process of securing bids for an authorized reseller and anticipates by October 1, 2012 the new State Contract will be in place.
