Dr. Lisa Feldner, North Dakota's Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Information Technology Department (ITD), accepted a new position as the ND University System Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Institutional Research. On June 3, 2013, Dr. Feldner assumed her new role after serving seven years as ITD's CIO.

Before Dr. Feldner was appointed as ITD's CIO in April 2006 by former Governor John Hoeven, she served as the Technology Director for Bismarck Public Schools. Lisa holds a bachelor's in computer science and business education and a master's in mathematics education from Minot State University. She also holds a doctorate in education leadership from the University of North Dakota.  

During her tenure, Lisa coordinated major IT initiatives, including the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS), Statewide Technology Access for Government and Education Network (STAGEnet), Connect ND, and the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Hub.

Dr. Feldner serves on numerous committees and boards, including State Information Technology Advisory Committee (SITAC), CJIS Board, North Dakota Longitudinal Data System Committee, North Dakota Health Information Committee, STAGEnet Committee, Information Technology Council of North Dakota, North Dakota Education Technology Council, National Association of State Chief Information Officers, and ConnectND Management Committee.
