The scope of this project is to upgrade all Cognos 10 shared environments to Cognos Analytics (11) shared environment(s). ITD has multiple agencies utilizing Cognos 10 shared database environment(s). All of these environments will be upgraded as part of this project.
This upgrade is required because IBM mainstream support for Cognos 10 will be at end of life in April 2018, and ITD policy states that applications are maintained at a level to ensure vendor support is available and critical security patches are provided. Additionally, there are numerous tools and features the state would like to utilize in the new version.
This effort will be completed in multiple phases, detailed below. Agencies impacted in the shared Cognos environments are Attorney Generals Office (CJIS), Department of Human Services (DHS), Department of Transportation (DOT), Information Technology Department (ITD), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and State Treasurer (ST).
