Recap

  • General Updates
    • Digital Asset Management - Moving forward with a multi-tenant solution.
    • Interactive Mapping - Finishing first implementation of an interactive mapping solution. Building it into the State Website Platform as a standard offering, but it can be leveraged in other applications.
    • Website Search - Continued progress migrating away from the Google Search Appliance and to a new search solution, Google Custom Search Engine. Agencies are encouraged to enable "Site Search" within Google Analytics so they can track what users are searching for on their website.
    • Email Marketing Solution - No current plans to pursue an enterprise solution, though it is a known need that will hopefully be addressed in the future.
  • State Branding
    • The Department of Commerce presented on the evolved ND Legendary brand. Agencies are encouraged to utilize the updated branding where it makes sense.
    • Additional resources, including the full brand guide, a PowerPoint Template, and agency-specific logo request form, are available on the Tourism website.
  • Reinvention
    • Julie Cabinaw, Chief Reinvention Officer, presented an overview of the function and vision of the Office of Reinvention
    • Several user experience testing and research tools have been procured as part of a larger effort around citizen experience. Agencies interested in using these tools to test the user experience of their websites or applications may contact ITD.
