Jeff Hensel is the Chief Customer Service Officer for the State of North Dakota. His previous role was Director of Services Modernization for Microsoft Corporation where he helped lead a business and technology transformation effort across a 14,000-person global team. Additionally, he held several other roles in his 20-year career at Microsoft within the business applications commercial software development team as well as Microsoft Global Business Operations where he led large global teams through business transformation and new customer and partner engagement models.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and an MBA with an emphasis on Information Systems from the University of St. Thomas. He has also earned a certificate from MIT for Mastering Design Thinking which is focused on human-centered design principles. Jeff is married to his wife Kristie and has two sons – Jaymeson and Nate. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family at the lake fishing, swimming, or just relaxing with a book.
