Music Education Grant

During the 2019 Legislative Session, $800,000 was provided to the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) for the purpose of providing Music Education Grants to school districts during the 2019-2021 biennium. Specific language is outlined in Senate Bill 2265 Section 21.

The statute requires grant recipients to report outcomes, including how the district’s investment in kindergarten through grade five music education impacted student behavior and mental health. This report is required by June 30, 2021, to close out the grant program.
