The primary purpose and function of the Office of Indian/Multicultural Education is to promote the incorporation and use of culturally-responsive teaching strategies and materials and to network across the educational community to advocate for Native American students, English Learners (ELs), and Migrant students.

The six offices within the Division of Student Support & Innovation provide coordinated resources, strategies, and initiatives to schools to help them support at-risk students and foster collaboration among the different programs that assist these populations of students while working within state and federal regulations.
