North Dakota Department of Commerce Early Childhood Education Grant Program
The Early Childhood Education Grant Program was established in the 2015 Legislative session to provide funding for public and private Early Childhood Education programs serving four year old children that are eligible for free or reduced lunches according to Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act. Information is available through the North Dakota Department of Commerce.

North Dakota Early Childhood Continuing Education Grant
The 65th Legislative Assembly once again passed the Early Childhood Education Grant. Under this grant, North Dakota residents may receive up to $3,000 towards their education. To qualify for the grant award, the eligible recipient must:
  • Be a pre-kindergarten teacher or teacher assistant for whom a baccalaureate degree will be required in the future;
  • Be an individual working in the childcare industry and/or Head Start program who wishes to obtain a Child Development Associate Degree, Associate of Arts Degree, or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education;
  • Be enrolled in a North Dakota State college or university.
