Advanced Placement Webinar Series – Exam Fees and Useful Tools
By Matt Scherbenske, Academic Support Assistant Director
The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) is currently in the second year of an initiative which waives some or all of students’ Advanced Placement (AP) testing fees for AP English, AP mathematics, AP science, and AP computer science exams. In order to be eligible to receive this benefit, students do not need to currently be taking an AP class. To inform educators about the current offerings of AP and to assist school officials with the logistics of this program, the NDDPI and College Board is conducting a webinar series outlining the process of submitting the proper worksheets and documentation for AP exams.
The first webinar is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 11 at 1:30 PM (CDT). This session will provide participants with a general summary of the AP exam program and what the North Dakota initiative is providing for students and schools. Viewers will also be given a brief overview of the AP Potential tool which is available to instructors.
On Wednesday, March 29 at 9:00 AM (CDT) the second webinar in the series will take place. This meeting will deliver the specific details, resources, and documentation needed for schools as it pertains to AP exam orders and the North Dakota invoicing. NDDPI encourages school administrators and their AP coordinators to register for either or both of these webinars.
