Q: Do some students receive college credit for high school CTE courses?
A: Yes, arrangements should be very clear to students enrolled in the high school CTE courses for which college credit arrangements are in advance of the course. Colleges/universities may have agreements with the high school for facilitating student learning and progress in instructional programs. The agreement will specify both the high school courses and the corresponding college course(s) for which the student will earn credit. Until the institution and program accepts the student for which the credit applies, there is no awarding of college credit.
