Regional Aging Services: Southeast Human Service Center
The Regional Aging Services Program Administrator at Southeast Human Service Center is responsible for the development of, access to, and monitoring of services for older persons in the six-county region.
Services include the following:
- Program supervision and monitoring of grants and contracts in the Fargo region that are funded under the Older Americans Act, Title III
- Assisting elders and organizations in organizing needed services within their communities
Services include, but are not limited to:- Vulnerable adult services
- Caregiver support
- Health screening
- Senior meals (congregate and home-delivered)
- Transportation
- Providing education, training, and leadership in advocating self-determination, health, and security for people who are elderly and/or disabled
- Supervising Family Caregiver Support Services, which are supportive services for:
- Caregivers of people age 60 and older
- Grandparents relative caregivers who are older than age 60 and who provide care for children younger than 18
- Managing the Long-term Care Ombudsman Program, receiving and investigating complaints by residents of long-term care facilities concerning care they receive
