Youth and Family Community-Based Behavioral Health Treatment Services
These services provide short-term, high intensity treatment to youth with behavioral health needs that put them at risk of being removed from their homes due to a mental health condition, severe emotional disturbance and/or substance use issues.
Services are provided in a youth’s home or community setting with participation from family members.
Services include:
- Care coordination/targeted case management
- In-home/community-based individual and family therapy
- In-home/community-based skills training and integration
- Individual or parent behavioral modification training
- Substance use disorder treatment
- Telehealth for rural families

Notes: SEHSC is an APA accredited psychology internship site. SEHSC is also an approved site for psychiatric residents for UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Admissions/Crisis Response
This admissions unit provides crisis and emergency services including:
- Admission and triage
- Screening for voluntary and involuntary admission to North Dakota State Hospital
- Emergency services
- Consultation and referral
For Mental Health Crisis Needs
- Anyone experiencing a behavioral health crisis, should call 211 for immediate help 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
- People can also walk-in during business hours (Mon. – Fri., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) for immediate help.
