Calendar of Events
This course helps public safety personnel improve their
observational techniques by using a four-step ongoing
screening process-assessing, identifying, evaluating, and
acting. Participants will examine each step of the process
and apply the concepts to fictional scenarios, photographs,
and videos. At the end of the this course, participants will
be able to better recognize, communicate, and act upon
suspicious behaviors that could indicate a terrorist attack.

Sector/Corporate Security, and Safety Professionals
The primary target audience for the Direct Delivery
version of this course is law enforcement and security
The secondary audience for this course is intentionally
broad, and includes fire services, emergency medical
services, government officials, public safety personnel,
facility managers, and any others who support security
operations for sites or events.
This class has been POST Board approved.
The Site Protection class will be held at the Tech Accelerator, 4201 James Ray Dr, Grand Forks, ND 58202.
Students must obtain a FEMA Student Identification (SID) number if they do not already have one. To register for a SID, applicants should go to https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid. . On the right of the screen, clicking on “Need a FEMA SID” allows an applicant to register. Applicants will receive the SID via email.
