L0213 and L0214: Hazard Mitigation Assistance: Application Review and Evaluation and Project Implementation and Closeout

L0213: Hazard Mitigation Assistance: Application Review and Evaluation, course equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to effectively review and evaluate HMA sub-applications, and provide a general overview of how a sub-award is issued.

L0214: Hazard Mitigation Assistance: Project Implementation and Closeout will provide course participants with the knowledge and skills required to effectively implement and closeout a Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant project.

Appropriate audience for this class includes personnel of local jurisdictions, tribal governments, and private non-profit organizations that are eligible applicants for Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grants; state mitigation staffs responsible for assisting Unified HMA sub-applicants; FEMA employees who assist state mitigation staff and/or who are responsible for monitoring Unified HMA grant awards; and staffs of public or private sector organizations that offer consulting services to Unified HMA grant applicants.

This class will be held at the Quality Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave., Bismarck, ND. Class will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Suites, 929 Gateway Ave., Bismarck (701-223-4009). Ask for the "DES Hazard Mitigation" block. This block is available at the state rate until April 29, 2019. NDDES will reimburse appropriate candidates for hotel and meal per diem at state rates according to policy.
