Stutsman County Emergency Management is hosting a 2 day NFPA 1600 " Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity/Continuity of Operations Programs which will be held on February 14th and 15th, 2019 at the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center located at 205 6th St. SE, Jamestown, ND 58401. Class will begin at 8:00am and end at 5:00pm on both days. (Lunch is on your own) This training will be led by instructors from The Blue Cell, LLC. There is no charge to attend.

Course Overview
Anyone working in or having overall responsibilities for an emergency management standard in their organization should be familiar with NFPA 1600. It is a comprehensive, yet flexible standard to model any emergency management program from planning to execution. It is one of the key standards used in business continuity, crisis/emergency management, and continuity of operations.

Be prepared for any type of crisis or disaster " resulting from natural, human, or technological events. Widely used by public, non-profit, nongovernmental, and private entities on a local, regional, national, international, and global basis, NFPA 1600 continues to evolve as a vital guide for the development, implementation, assessment, and maintenance of disaster/emergency management and continuity of operations programs.

Primary Audience
This includes, but is not limited to: Law Enforcement, Public Works, Emergency Medical Services, Government Administration, Fire Services, Public Safety Communications, Hazardous Materials, Health Care, Emergency Management, Public Health, Volunteer Organizations, and people involved with emergency planning, response, and/or recovery efforts.
