Grant Writing Workshop

This one day grant writing workshop will provide an overview of private, state, and federal grants available to the emergency services community. Included will be Homeland Security, Firefighter, and non-profit grants. Specific grant writing tips and guidelines will also be covered, with an emphasis on writing goals, objectives, outcomes, and narratives. Hands-on practical exercises will round out the days activities.

Karen Hilfer, NDDES Grants Specialist, will be the instructor for this class.

The class will be held on May 10, 2018 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

NDDES will reimburse appropriate participants that live and/or work in ND for meals and lodging according to state rates and policy. Participants must have traveled more than 50 miles to be eligible for travel reimbursement. We do not reimburse mileage.

The class will be held at the Quality Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave. in Bismarck. Rooms have been reserved at theComfort Suites, 929 Gateway Ave. at the state rate. Call the Comfort Suites at (701) 223-4009 and ask for the "Grant Writing Workshop" room block. This block of rooms at state rate will be available until April 27, 2018.
