L 449 Incident Command System Curricula Train the Trainer

Texas A&M University Extension Service will be providing the instruction for the Incident Command Systems Curricula Train the Trainer Course in Bismarck, ND January 16-19, 2018

The Incident Command System Curricula, Train-the-Trainer course prepares participants to deliver EMI's ICS curricula. While the Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS 100) and ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (ICS 200) courses are addressed, the major emphasis is on Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents (ICS 300) and Advanced ICS Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents (ICS 400). This course is intended for experienced personnel who are conversant and subject matter experts in ICS 100, 200, 300 and 400 curricula. The course is intended to reinforce the multi-discipline team approach and instructional techniques.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Facilitate and address EMI'S ICS curricula for ICS 100 and 200.
  • Facilitate and conduct, with major emphasis, EMI'S ICS curricula for ICS 300 and 400.

To attend this class and to become certified to teach ICS classes in ND, participants must demonstrate a working knowledge of ICS through experience and training and must be experienced in delivering adult education. Participants must have worked as Incident Commander, Command or General Staff on incidents, planned events, or exercises that went longer than one operational period or involved a written action plan and involved multiagency coordination.

Pre-requisites for this course include ICS 100, ICS 200, IS 700, IS 800, ICS 300 and ICS 400. Please bring copies of your certificates to class.

This class will be held at the Comfort Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave., Bismarck, ND beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending by 5:00 p.m. each day. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Suites, 929 Gateway Ave., Bismarck. Ask for the "DES ICS Train the Trainer" block. Reservations must be made by Jan 2, 2018 to receive the state rate.

ND EMS approved for 32 LCCR hours.
