Location: Grand Forks
add to outlook calendar

ND DES has developed an "Active Assailant Training for Public Safety Dispatch Personnel" course. This course has already been presented (and well received) by State Radio communicators. The purpose of the course is to increase workforce awareness and prescribe actions to take in the event of an Active Assailant incident. Background information and history of prior events will provide lessons learned and bring awareness of best practices that can be implemented at the local level. The course is geared towards communications personnel, but can provide basic awareness to all disciplines with a roll in dispatching responders and communicating information during an active assailant event.

The four hour course will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on February 21, 2014 at the Grand Forks Public Safety Center, 1220 S. 52nd St, Grand Forks, ND. View map.

Participants may also attend via interactive video network (IVN) at the NDSU Extension Center, Sturlaugson Learning Center, 9280 107th Ave NE, Langdon, ND, or the Devils Lake Fire Department, 621 College Dr. N, Devils Lake, ND.

This course has been approved by the ND POST Board.
This course has been approved for EMS Continuing Education Hours.
