Whitestone Hill Education Day: Featuring Kevin Locke
“Because the event is designed to appeal to children with immersive activities, it’s a powerful opportunity for anyone to learn about traditional Dakota and Lakota culture,” said South Region Historic Sites Manager Rob Hanna. “In one day you can help set up a tipi, play traditional games, and hear Lakota music and language.”
Programs are targeted toward fourth to sixth-grade students studying North Dakota history, but the public is also invited to attend. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch and water.
