Biennial Open Photo Exhibition
The Taube Museum of Art Main Gallery is featuring a photography exhibition, September 5th –October 11th. This exhibition was open to all Minot and surrounding photographers, professional and nonprofessional alike. We received a tremendous amount of submissions from local artists and are thrilled to have their work hang in the gallery.
This exhibition will include the following photographers, in alphabetical order, in the exhibition, but not limited to, are Amadias Amaya, Shane Balkowitsch, Micah Bloom, Adam Bursack, Kalyn Dewitt, Isis Cabral, Johnathan Campbell, Keshia Corpuz, Jay Gaare, Ruth E Gaines, Jason Greenwood, JoHannah Grosz, Bailey Hanson, Lester Hill, Marshall Hill, Alex Jimenez, Tienna Johnson, Jessica Love, Aaron Michels, Linda Olson, Rayson Renfrow, Amanda Schlieman, Joshua Strong, Marcus Van Grinsven, and Clint Whitmer.
Honors will be chosen by Minot State Art Professor Ryan Stander. Originally from the farmlands of northwest Iowa, Ryan Stander is a transplant to North Dakota. His education alternated between art and theology, which offers a unique vantage point as an artist. His research interests reside in conversations of art and theology with memory, identity, and landscape. Stander is an Associate Professor of Art at Minot State University where he teaches photography, directs the BFA program, and co-directs Flat Tail Press.
The photographers will be present at the opening artist reception on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. It is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
