Plains Art Museum proudly opens its 40th anniversary season with Picasso: Passion for Clay, featuring 40 dazzling ceramics Pablo Picasso made at the famed Madoura Pottery Studio in Southern France. The artworks in this touring exhibition are from the private collection of Martin Rosenbaum, a world-renowned expert on Picasso’s ceramics.
The solo exhibition Star Wallowing Bull: Transformer showcases recent paintings and signature Prismacolor drawings by this celebrated area artist, whose colorful and charismatic style mixes personal biography with American pop culture and Native American images and symbols.
